Don’t feel it. It doesn’t pull or hurt.
At first glance it’s not built very well. I suppose Philips get their stuff made in China now. I would suggest being gentle with it. Turning the end of the device to insert the battery is a bit of a fiddle. It’s not clearly marked which way the battery goes in. (It comes with one AAA battery, 2 blades, cleaning brush, plastic guard and a cloth pouch.) The positive (or pointy end) goes in first. When used, it took off inch long (2 cms) hairs from my mother’s chin very easily. She didn’t realise I was using it. It’s not very noisy when it’s on. In the past she has used another make which pulled and hurt. She was very happy as it takes thick off and thin hairs, in literally about a minute. I did her upper lip, chin and hairs on her neck/cheeks. It comes with tweezers but there’s no need to use them. The blade is easy to clean with the brush. If you want to change from the small blade to the larger blade turn the top half gently, and turn back after inserting the other blade. In a separate function, there is a small white knob that separates half of the blade so you can clean it (if you want to). It’s very light and would easily fit in a cosmetics bag for travel. I am overall impressed enough with me to buy one for my daughter and one for me.
