Pretty nice!
It feels a bit less substantial than my previous laptop (but that was a 10 year-old MacBook Pro). The keys feel a bit cheap. But, as for its abilities, it has delivered handsomely.

Excellent laptop
This is my second MacBook and I am almost completely converted to Apple products. iPhone 6 was my first iPhone, will never use anything else. Not another dollar of mine will ever be wasted on a PC laptop, Apple and its OS are much smoother and almost seamless when it comes to moving between my phone and laptop and iPad. I hate Apples politics but love their products. Free market baby!!!!

Freezes all the time, why did they delete my video?
I love Apples. But unfortunately I really don’t like this one. I’ve given it many days to change my mind to keep already, but it just keeps letting me down. Constantly freezing where I can’t do anything, downloading stays stuck. And incompatible with trading platforms. 5 min lag to buy and sell. Don’t know if I just bought a defective one or this versions is just not that great. Only thing positive is it looks nice and they delivered earlier than I expected. And also have a good return policy.

Migration from Windows to M1-3 erases file system origin and update chronology
Apple’s Migration software from Windows NTFS to MacBook M-3 Apple APFS erases file system origin and update dates. Instead the software treats all files (in my case, thousands) as if they were created on the date of migration. That makes the file system, lacking all chronology, so essentially useless. Apple Care advisor suggested putting the date into the file names. LOL

Apple Mac’s are rubbish.
They are just so “look at me I’m a Mac user”. Then they breakdown, or Apple do a software update that makes them useless, or the charger breaks, then the cost of repair at an Apple shop is so high it’s not worth repairing.Advice to anyone out there don’t fall into the Apple Trap. The phones are even worse. Hands up who has had to buy numerous I phone charging cables. It’s a perpetuating rip-off, we all know it, but we are all suckers.

No USB ports no head phone outlet. No mouse. not compatible with my work.
Complicated to set up. There are no USB ports No headphone outlet, No mouse. Would not be compatible with other equipment I have to work with every day. Apple is in its own world if you have not used Apple equipment before and are planning on integrating it with other equipment you already have make sure it will be compatible before you buy it.

INSANELY SLOW
I recently spilt coffee on my beloved 2019 Macbook Pro and decided to replace it with this new model Macbook Air. The specs looked very similar to my old Pro, so I expected there to not be much difference in performance. Boy was I WRONG. This model is so freaking SLOW, it’s unbearable. Closing or opening new internet tabs, switching between internet browser and another window, etc all cause this thing to freeze up and show the little rainbow wheel of stupidity. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I went back on Amazon and bought a used 2019 Pro just like the one I had before. Guess what – no issues. Definitely skip this model and either splurge for the new Pro or just get an older model Pro.

Worst design Apple ever made
This is a Dell laptop that cost twice as much and leaves every finger on it. The midnight is seriously so bad – try to even breathe on it without leaving a stain. It is SO SO not Apple and I am Johnny Ive’s is laughing. It preforms well when you can see it. DO NOT get the midnight unless you want to clean all day.

A great laptop but I have a couple things
First, I haven’t used the camera yet. I already have a 13 inch 2020 MacBook Air M1. The 13 inch is faster, has comparable viewing and just seems to fit my needs. I’m not a power user. Just the basics. I wanted to try a 15 inch and am satisfied, but if I ever need to buy another laptop, it will be 13 inch. I’m done with desktops.

Wow.
My old MacBook Pro crapped out (I bought it in 2011). This Air is astounding. Didn’t really want to spend the money, but I’m so glad I did. If you’re new to Mac or had an old Mac like me, download the Udemy course on Sonoma and save yourself some time. Rock on.

Expensive Toy (but pretty)
Bought this for school and work but later found out half of the apps I need to run will not work unless running Parallels (with diminished performance). It’s a shame really, it’s a beautiful device, but this “general purpose” laptop with a slogan of “it just works” doesn’t live up to the hype and marketing. It is the fault of the app developers to not port to MacOS, but it really makes you wonder why this happens so often. Is it really that hard to develop for MacOS?I will be returning and opting for a Windows PC, which at the same price point can offer so many more features: Higher than 1080p, dedicated GPU, touch screen, expandable storage, and natural scrolling with both mouse and track pad at the same time (without having to download 3rd party software). What does Apple do better? A lot of Windows PCs have poor battery life (especially those with dedicated GPUs) and you will need to carry around a power brick which will affect portability. The speed vs weight on this thing is crazy, so if the operating system and features meets your needs, it is pretty nice.

Excellent battery run time.
An amazingly slender and light laptop. Of course I haven’t bought a new laptop since 2013 so maybe I am just missing how good new laptops are. Nice keyboard and screen and I only wish Apple would dish these out with 1 TB SSD’s as standard.

Absolutely the best laptop
Great laptop. Super Fast. Long lived battery. Very thin. Very light. Exquisite display. Typically easy to use Mac OS. Just about Everything works as it should. Great quality. Exquisite engineering. Most profound recommendationNegatives:USB-C ports too close together. If use an adapter, ports are too close for most adapters to use two simultaneously.Downloading huge files causes cache to get clogged. Cleaning cache is time consuming.Expensive.

Amazing Laptop with Speedy Delivery and High Portability
Hey friends! This laptop is amazing, clean, and efficient. Currently, I am a Neuroscience major and just switched over from a 6 year old Intel MacBook (which was and is still amazing, but old). If you’re thinking about buying this product, from a college student’s perspective, it is amazing as it can handle many large programs that professors often require you to work on. Not to mention the Starlight color is beautiful.A piece of advice: Order the MacBook from here instead of Apple directly, because it’s cheaper and will have faster delivery. Also this laptop is the same as the M2, so think about that when purchasing (I didn’t buy it because I couldn’t find one in stock)

Absolutely brilliant machine. Best laptop I have ever owned, by far.
I had a 13″ M2 with 8 GB of memory and the slightly better processor. That was a great machine for general purpose stuff, but I do a lot of development, so I wanted something with a bit more oomph. This laptop is amazing. Super fast (was immediately ~30% faster at a set of python tests), and I really appreciate the larger screen and improved speakers. The screen feels much, much bigger than the 13″. That said, the 15″ definitely *feels* more like a laptop. The 13″ is small enough that it feels almost feels like a larger tablet device. The 15″, while only a half-pound heavier, really does start to feel more like a laptop because of the increased size. They’re both brilliant machines, and all in all, I think I still prefer the 15″. But I’d opt for the 13″ if I traveled a lot with the laptop or I was going to be taking it too/from work or school. I’d go with the 15″ if travel was a bit less frequent. If you’re looking for a machine for light work (office tasks, browsing, watching video, light programming), the 8 GB version is probably fine. For anything else, I’d go 16 GB. 24 GB is probably pointless unless you’re a massive power user (think: multiple VMs, serious programming development with big models, editing very large video, etc.), and at that point you should probably be looking at macbook pros.

Best laptop I’ve ever owned.
It’s fast and the battery lasts a really long time and it never gets hot. The screen is very nice and has a good resolution. 15 inches seems like the sweet spot for macbook airs. I’m upgrading from a M1 13 inch and this feels like a HUGE upgrade. Very happy with it.

It is a Mac and does what a Mac is meant to do
This was an upgrade for me from the M2 13″ MacBook Air. So my review will mainly be on the difference between the two. Other than that it is a Mac and does what a Mac was built to do. I got it brand new with no defects. So the difference between this M3 15″ MacBook Air and the M2 13″ MacBook Air are as follows:* It is noticeably heavier, you will feel it even in you backpack. It is best to stick to the 13″ for mobility.* The speakers are far clearer & better, better bass that it is mind blowing.* The screen appears to be noticeably clearer & crisper.* The screen real estate though slightly bigger it does count for something. I can see a lot more on this screen.* It feels faster than the M2 air

First Macbook
Windows user here. Got tired of 1 to 2 hours of battery life on windows. Jumping into macOS with both feet. After 8 hours of setup and messing around, I have used 53 percent of my battery. Display is nice. Base 8gb and 256gb drive will meet my needs with a little cloud storage in my future. So far quite impressed. Computer is fast and I suspect it still will be once I know what I am doing in macOS. Bit of a learning curve ahead, but for average user like me ( some office apps and the rest consumption oriented) I think this is going to be perfect. Got Starlight because it was discounted. Nice color, gender neutral. Very happy with this purchase so far. Best personal computer I have ever owned. Makes my previous windows laptops look sad. Would buy again. 15 inch M3 Base model.
